Redstone Gatling Gun

This redstone gaterling gun takes under 3 second to fire a complete cycle around the barrel. Its eight main dispensers laid out in a circle to ensure the greatest chance of a hit. Located in the centre of the barrel is a fast action dispenser firing about 8 rounds a second, for maximum destruction if you get the gun dead on target.

The controls are simple to use, the fast action centre dispenser is simply turned on and off by the top lever on the back. In order to activate the sequential rounds flick the centre lever to activate the machine, then press the button on the bottom to send a pulse that will start the firing. To stop the sequential rounds turn off the centre lever.

The gun is very powerful and deadly, so be sure to line it up in front of all those mobs and blow them to pieces!

How the machine works

The dispenser in the centre that fires rapidly is simple. The dispenser is hooked up to a redstone rapid pulser. In order to control when it's firing and not firing, a lever is connected to an inverter which connects to the rapid pulser. This means that when the lever is off, the rapid pulser will receive power and hence it can't pulse. Turning the lever on means there will be no signal, allowing a rapid pulse.

The sequential firing is just as simple, first you need to activate the machine, all this does is push a block up via a sticky piston, allowing the loop that goes around the dispensers to cycle again, and it allows our the pulse to be induced in the first place.

When the induce loop button is pressed, the button connects to a pulse limiter, so a very fast pulse is fired, as a pose to the normal lengthy one sent by a button alone. Providing the sticky piston/block is up, the pulse travels into the loop. The pulse powers the first dispenser, then a series of delays are used to ensure the following pistons have a small gap between firing. Eventually after the last dispenser has been fired and an appropriate delay, providing the sticky piston is allowing a current through, the pulse goes to the first dispenser and the loop cycle continues.

To stop the machine, all the happens is you pull switch off the lever that connects to the sticky piston, breaking the cycle so when the pulse reaches the last dispenser it can't go round again.

I would like to know how to make it, and possibly modify it. I'm only a begginer Redstone Circuit Maker so there is a lot of things I don't understand like how you can make 'computers'

I'll stick it on a blank world and write a quick summary of how it works in description now

Do the dispensers fire simultanieously, or one after another?

They fire sequentially, so they go around in circle, one after the other.
