This map is part of the project of making real world maps in Minecraft using very high resolution geographic data, started recently with the release of Italy Map at 30m resolution
This time the work is focused on Central Europe, including parts of those countries:
Biomes Map
40 JourneyMap waypoints are now available, this makes exploration through the map a lot easier!
The resolution of the map is 50m (1 block in Minecraft corresponds to 50m in the real world).
The altitude of the map in the real world ranges from -700m undersea to 4500m. The Minecraft world is developed to have a vertical resolution of 25m (1 block in minecraft corresponds to 25m in the real world). In Minecraft, the lowest point of the map is at -26, while the highest point is at 242
Within the map there are 11 different biomes that vary mainly based on the altitude above sea level. Here it comes a list of the biomes used:
Feel free to request a reprocessing of this map at different scales or a specific area with higher resolution.
Bugs are always possible, please report them!

- Better coastal regions, expecially over The Netherlands
- Added rivers and lakes made by real world Corine land cover data, this is the very first time I import real land cover datasets in the maps
- Better clay/sand layer made by real world Corine land cover data
- Caves do not break the surface anymore, and they are now reduced in number

Data used to process the map:
- SRTM V3 DEM data at 30m resolution - cubic reinterpolation to 50m
- GEBCO 15arcsec resolution bathymetric data - cubic reinterpolation to 50m
- Corine Land Cover data at 100m resolution - cubic and max reinterpolations at 50m

A 1m resolution world of a 100x100km area would generate a 100000x100000 map, which is tremendously big
