It was a palace built by the order of the second wife of Philip V, Isabel de Farnesio. The palace wasn´t finished because The queen prefer to go living in the San Ildefonso de la Granja palace, that it was bigger and better. It was completed in the XIX century when Alfonso XII went there to live after the death of his wife Maria de las Mercedes. Before that the palace was used by Charles III for having dinner after hunting in the forest with his ministers. 

The exterior it is not very decorated because in reality is like that.
