This is my entry for jduartemiller's 200 Sub Contest.
Update: 2nd Place Winner
200m high; 45 stories
It is split into commercial in the bottom tier, offices in the next 3 tiers, and residential in the final 2 tiers. Elevated rail lines run through the center of the structure on the 2nd and 3rd floors in all 4 directions. A restaurant and garden is located on the lowest terrace. There is a rooftop pool for the apartments.
I build more from an engineering perspective than architectural. My idea for this build was a functional, realistic skyscraper that could serve as a sort of hub in a city. The bundled tube structure has the main tower with a core split into 4 quadrants by the rail lines and 4 smaller tubes spiralling upwards. The railways crossing through the commercial section make it both a destination as well as point of departure for other areas of the city. The garden terraces add a green element. I'm not one for interior design in Minecraft, so most of the floor space is left empty.
