Information: This isn't a copy of the "NS Generic" from "Imperial Shipyard" (https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/ns-generic-1970-full-interior/), it's the original sister ship!
Warning: This ship includes many entitys and requires a good computer!
The NS Zodiac saw the daylight in 1965, as her keel was laid down in Australia. The plan was to built a high speed Ocean Liner which serves the route Sydney-Southampton-New York. Since then the ship was constructed very fast, because she was not as large as other Transatlantic Liners. The launch of the ship was in 1968 and she was fitted out in Woolloomooloo (Australia) until 1969. At the same year the ship became part of the "Golden Eagle Lines" and had it's first voyage in December 1969. She was built out of the best steel available, because she had to cross some of the roughest regions of the ocean. When she arrived in Southamton, a massive crowd wanted to see what is still considered as one of the greatest engineering marvels of our time. Now it was time for the Zodiac to cross the North Atlantic. She was built to become the fastest Liner on the seas. With an average speed of about 45.8 knots which she achieved due to her nuclear reactor plant, she awarded the Blue Riband. She "only" needed 2 days, 16 hours and 55 minutes for one trip over the Atlantic. Since that day, the 31th of December 1969, the Zodiac made many commercial voyages from Sydney-Southampton-New York. In 1974 the Zodiac was hit by a freak wave on the coast of South Africa. The wave made serious damage to her forecastle, so that the Zodiac had to be repaired in her former shipyard. In 1982 the Zodiac was commissioned to serve as a troop transporter through the Falklands War. For that purpose she was completely painted black, because she was mostly used at night. Due to that she was nicknamed "The Black Cat" and reached top speeds which are still unknown and under top secret. After the Falklands War ended she was modernized and returned to commercial service for the 'Golden Eagle Lines.' In her later career she rammed her own Tender, the MV Vallejo and cut this boat in two pieces. Due to this mistake 3 people died on board of the Vallejo. In 1997 the Zodiac was ready to make her last commercial voyage from New York to Southampton and then to be laid up at Alang. In New York thousends of people wanted to say "Farewell Zodiac" for the last time as the ship slides away from the quay. The Zodiac was very profitable through her lifetime, but at the end the nuclear power plant made her to scrap metal because such ships cannot sail longer than 30 years. At the end the Zodiac was the iconic queen of Australia for almost 30 years.
Information: This ship and her history are entirely fictional!
