Explore the haunted lands north of the wall; battle through stunning environments swarming with the undead; and bring home the wool before the other team for glory! A competitive minecraft map for 4+ players (optimally 8), in version 1.16.5 or later

North of the Wall
The first in what looks to be a series of RFW maps for modern minecraft. North of the Wall features three dungeons, a host of auxiliary areas, and just about every undead mob in the game somewhere or other!

Each team must first navigate some basic obstacles - a silverfish wall, some trenches and fences; all while under fire from the other side and with basic equipment. They can then delve deep into the river of the dead to mine for valuable mineral resources, or advance to the village for better gear and to prepare for nightfall.

The grand cathedral offers the players their first real challenge, with hidden loot and enemies, and the opportunity to ring the great bell for a one-time aid. This will all be helpful in tackling Dungeon 01, where players dive into the basement for an experience fighting zombies and illagers, with ever-present danger from the enemy team.

Out the back is an area full of dangers and goodies from surprising angles, and adorned by a leering skull cave. in the side of the mountain sits Dungeon 02, a PvP-focused area with increasingly narrow areas to move and build in. Work with your teammates to prevent being shot down by enemy archers!

After the mountain, players will have to build and battle their way to the final area, Dungeon 03! This is a challenging PvE experience dodging ghasts and explosives - and perhaps sending a few your opponent's way at the same time!

Race for the Wool
Originally an offshoot of the 'Complete the Monument' style of map, Race for the Wool (or RFW) is one of the most enduring competitive minecraft formats. Players divide into two equal teams (with optional moderators to enforce rules), with each team having access to one 'lane'. Lanes are 16 blocks wide and perfect mirrors of each other - meaning you can always see where your goodies, challenges and objectives will be by looking across at your opponent's side.

Leaving your lane or building outside of its confines is strictly forbidden, meaning that to hinder your opponents you'll need to shoot with your bow - or build TNT cannons to devastate their side of the field!

The object of the game is to find wool blocks of 3 different colours, scattered in decorated 'fleecy boxes' in some of the hardest-to-reach places on the map. But finding the wool is often only half the struggle - you will then need to brave all the horrors you just faced once more in order to get out again! The winner is the first team to place one of each kind of wool on their 'victory monument', an obsidian structure near the start of the map.

Setup
The zip archive contains a 'world' folder, which you can place in your server folder. Ensure your server has command blocks and pvp enabled.

Once in-game, ensure everyone has read the rules and, optionally, consulted the mini-map to get their bearings. Buttons at spawn will perform initial setup, and allow players to pick their teams. One square and one circular ring are provided for optional pre-match sumo. Once both teams are readied, the map automatically sets up starting conditions including time of day, world spawn and difficulty, and unleashes both teams into the map.

Buttons are provided at spawn for tuning difficulty, including friendly fire and keep inventory.
