This is a 1:1 reconstruction of the Roman fort near today's Nersingen in southern Germany.
The fort was one of the early fortifications on the Danube and was only in use for a short time in the first century AD. It was constructed relatively simply from wood and dirt and served only a handful of auxiliary soldiers as a base.



I used the german wikipedia as a source, especially this image of a model.

It's actually meant to be a turf wall, I just found it impossible to represent that in minecraft somehow^^

I know it should be a turf wall but in fact is more an earthwall and most earthwalls I have seen in Minecraft are bad, but not yours and that is why I made the comment :)

Thank you! This wasn't a camp of a marching unit though, hence the turf walls ;) But I guess it could have been built pretty fast as well if needed.
