The ex. MS Gilded Star was built in 1979 at CronosCorp. and travelled there beetwenn the CronosCorp. Shipyard and Eternal Shipyard, transporting various goods. Back then, she could also host some passengers as she was also used as a combi-ship.

The ex. MS Gilded Star was built in 1979 at CronosCorp. and travelled there beetwenn the CronosCorp. Shipyard and Eternal Shipyard, transporting various goods. Back then, she could also host some passengers as she was also used as a combi-ship.
After a brief layup in 1988, she was sold in 1989 to the Liberty Shipyard where she got an extensive refit among others a completely new Bridgehouse, new cranes and a improved deck layout. Her engine room also was refitted but she couldn't carry any passengers anymore hencefore she was only used for cargo transport.
In 2011 she was sold for scrap and has been finally laid up in Alang in 2012.
