Greatings!
Here another project from city of Merovia (my life-long project on survival server) -- bank.
Idea
This is compact commerial building (small bank, more moneylender office and house) in trade dictrict, near channel. It has quite simple layout, but many details like facade wood elements and 6 decorative towers. Also lower part of building is big tunnel for road (space in city center is restricted).
This is not just artistic exercise -- practical building for one of my townfolk to live and make some game buisness, so I completed only base building. Interiors, trade sign and сellar up to owner.
Style and materials
Im always trying to balance medieval (realism) and fantasy (freedom of creative expression) parts. I prefer to work in practical scale (buidings for minrcraft people, not 10-block tall giants). More or less my works are "fatasy-gothic", but from time to time I mix up some nordic and slavic elements. In case of material Im extremly conservative and love to use only realistic, "natural" ones -- wood (my favorite), bricks, wool (wich simulates plastered surfaces) and hardened clay (roof tiles).
Texture packs
Used (and recommended) -- Conquest 1.8. Most medieval styled texture packs will work well. Default textures friendly too .
