I'm sorry to say, the project has been put on ice for the moment. I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out, and I'm not quite sure how to get it right.
But, 50 diamonds! Wohooo!

WIP world file added!
Thanks to QuikFox' request, I've added a world file to show off the work in progress. It's a bit of a system hog at the moment (never thought to plan for performance), so if it runs slowly, you should reduce the draw distance. And you need to use the texture pack provided or it will look really weird! And, yeah, this pile of stone is going to need a name, so any suggestion is welcome.
Other than that, let me know what you think so far!
INFO:
I'm a bit bored, and I've been building on what I plan to be a huge fortified castle town. It's mainly inspired by the Undead Burg in Dark Souls, a bit in the layout, butI also want to capture the look of a mossy old stone that seems to have stood there forever. The architecture obviously differs, and I'm adding my own touch to it. Alot of what you see, however, may still be subject to change.
The plan is to build a lower town, which is what you see the beginning of above and an upper town. The basic idea is that the lower town should look up at the skies, while the upper town (which is a lofty ambition at the moment)should look down at them.
I use John Smith's Texture pack, but with some modifications. I've changed the brick texture and used some of the wool for more stone textures (who needs all that wool anyway?).
Thanks for the diamonds so far! (And don't forget if you like it!)
