On a hill overlooking the Arialene River lies the most feared fort in all of the north. Named after Gaius Havinson, this fort was designed to protect RiffenCavin from land-based attack. Lately, it has served to stop Alasantine raiders from crossing the Arialene. The fort houses a battalion of two hundred men trained to fight the enemies of the Cavinites. It also contains a barracks, a forge, a keep, multiple towers, and fine stables. To those who have challenged Cavin, the fort is known to be indestructible. No enemy has ever made it up the winding stone staircase without being riddled with arrows and spears, and the sheer cliffs protect against attack from any other angle. The Cavinites plan to keep the fort manned all winter, in an attempt to scare the Alasantites away.
