Finally, i've finished my multiplication circuit.
It takes two 8bit binary numbers and the number format (signed/unsigned) as input and calculates the 16bit multiplication result (signed/unsigned). Signed numbers are encoded in two's-complement.
Thanks to XxDOTxX's instant carry adder and Oracular's 1,5 tick XOR gate, its something fast too, even I had to slow down each adder stage by one tick because i've got problems with 1-tick pulses in addition with the pistons.

The ZIP package contains the multiplication unit itself and a testbench.
If you're using WorldEdit, you have to paste it twice.

Additional Notes

Blue: 8bit data inputs (light blue indicates first bit)
Marine: unsigned/signed input
Red: 16bit outputs (orange indicates first/9. bit)
CreditInstant carry adder: XxDOTxX (RDF), 1,5 Tick XOR: Oracular

Looks really good :-) I'm going to have a look at this when i have some time, i'm interested in the instant carry adders. I somehow need more adder circuits in my projects, i'm still stuck with the slow ripple carry adder. Diamond because it's cool, and because redstone work is underrated.

ty :)
take a look at properinglish's instant carry adder (3.5 ticks): www.planetminecraft.com/project/fastest-insta-carry-adder-4-ticks-for-8-bits-rdf/
totally agree it's underrated...
