Fort Ashyr was built about a hundred years after the city was founded. It is now the main base of operation for the Vampire Hunters Guild. Many Vampire Hunters are trained and stationed there. The Vampire Hunters mostly sleep during the day and train and patrol the city at night. Many young men join up because they see it as an honor to serve their country and their gods. Unfortunately despite their hard training many die young. Because under the city lies the Vampire Dungeons where the vampire hide during the day. The vampires come out at night, and the Vampire Hunters try to find and kill them.

Unfortunately some people have loved ones captured in the Vampire dungeons. So they are blackmailed by the vampires to help bring them new people. When the Vampire Hunters hear about this they capture and torture the traitors to give them information about the vampires.
