The BTL-B Y-wing was a model of starfighter bomber manufactured by Koensayr Manufacturing for use by the Galactic Republic Navy during the Clone Wars. The BTL-B Y-wing was an invaluable starfighter during the Clone Wars and instrumental in the fight against the CIS, demonstrating their success when a squadron of twelve Y-wing bombers were able to take down the Malevolence, a Heavy Cruiser equipped with an Ion Cannon capable of disabling capital ships and stations alike.

Although after the rise of the Galactic Empire Y-wings would be pressed out of service due to the change in Naval Doctrine, the BTL-B Y-wing would spawn successors that saw notable use during the Galactic Civil War, fighting for the Rebellion such as the BTL-A4 Y-wing Assault Bomber and the BTL-S3 Y-Wing. The Y-wings reputation would extend beyond the Galactic Cival War all the way through the New Republic Era and into the War between the Resistance and the First Order with the BTA-NR2 Y-wing.
