Another expansion of my 10k x 10k map Aureliath.  This is a portion of the desert area of the map.  This portion is not done, but it's essentially what you're going to see when it is done.  Will be adding custom rocks, trees, and skeletons etc organics to this region soon.  There will also be a large red desert expansion off in the north.  This portion of the map is roughly over 2 square kilometers in size, (1k x 2k + blocks) and I'm quite happy with the results so far.  I feel that my map is going to look beautiful when it's entirely done.  I do appologise for anyone who was interested in seeing the plains region done first, but I realized I absolutely needed this region done before I did the plains.  With that said, I'd like to thank anyone who has given their opinion and tips, Mojang for their beautiful game, creator of WP of course, and Lente again, for his trees.  I may or may not use his trees on this portion of the map officially when it's entirely done, but they serve as beautiful fillers untill I get my organic schematics done for the map.  As always I wish you all a lovely day ;P and don't forget to comment, diamond, and subscribe for more.  You can find higher res pix here =D!

The map is really nice, great use of custom biomes, and lovely mesas. I only dislike the probably too spiky mountains. Anyway, beautiful map :)

Comissions and all that ^^ have to make them look good for the player, not for the render.  Realistic terrain looks too boring with the whole render distance limit in game.

It may be true, most landscapes now are made for the renders, not for playing any kind of survival, for example (i include mine, they are not made specifically for the player who wants to play survival).

However, this term doesn't seem to be applied here as I am quite sure you cannot see the full mountain because the distance limit, unless you have optifine :)

3rd to last and last pictures are screenshots taken in game ^^ and I've never used optifine.  Never really looked into it to be completely honest.  Made this terrain according to what the commissioner was looking for =).  Personally, I love realistic terrain for renders, but I try to keep my terrain fantasy with a side of gravity as I say ^^.  Realistic-ish.

I know if, of course, but just look at 5th picture, you cannot load all the mountain until you are hitting with it XD
