It's like she's gonna walk right through the screen!
Altho those hips do look ridiculous; methinks it's because the white counter-shaded belly is narrow and exaggerates the hips.
But you know what? With a bulbishly rounded off style it just looks all the more cartoony, and that's perfect
I was trying to describe the contrast between the brighter white, and the darker maroon.
The effect of the contrast exaggerates the waist-to-hip ratio in comparison to the shoulder width.
Again, that isn't to say there is anything wrong with the design; I commented about what I saw.
You are (very) evidently more art-capable than I am, and I don't intend this as a lecture.
