I have not uploaded anything in a while, that's because I have been working on a custom terrain map, which is roughly 1500x1500. In order to chew up time whilst I wait for 1.2.3 to come out, and finish the top of the map I have made a new island for it, Insula Ignota. Which means island of the unknown.
This was made in about 4 hours, and its meant to have a fairy-tale feeling to it, a dream feeling.
If you want to use this project in any of your maps, please just ask =)

Also, any idea how to add ores for survival? it seems to make a custom terrain more popular...
Now let's move on what you can improve :p
- The most important, relight the map before vonvert it to 1.2.3 and after, check if everything is good because you have some lightning bug that make the game crash when you put a blocks near it.
- Your montain looks much beter but now you seems to use a lot more the melt brush wich a little bit to powerfull and make straight montain ( you seems to have some like that )
You should use the melt brush and finish with some lift brrush combine with smooth brush.
- Why have you indicate 1500x1500? The island i've downloaded is more 800 by 700 blocks.
- Delete the non used chunk to save some size.
One last thing, you seems to rush a lot, take you time and i'm sure the result will be a lot better.
couple questions though.. how do i light and delete chunks? would that be mcedit or world edit in game to do this?
I use melt but i only use it to round off the edges of the squares (i use /b v ) and i will use fill then sometimes lift in areas that seem to low down or not high enough .. but i do think I've gone a bit over board with the melt here xD ..
and yeh the final product will be roughly 1500x1500, that measurement wasn't meant for the island...but yeh if you could tell me how to light and delete chunks to make the download faster that would be awesome :o

For relighting chunk, you have to used the chunk control in mcedit.
