Ка-52 "Алігатор" (за кодифікацією НАТО - Hokum B) - російський розвідувально-ударний вертоліт[4] нового покоління. Машина здатна вражати броньовану та неброньовану техніку, живу силу та повітряні цілі на полі бою. Є подальшим розвитком вертольота Ка-50 «Чорна акула».
До припинення серійного виробництва Ка-50 у 2009 році як специфіка бойового застосування Ка-52 передбачалося виконання ним завдань командирської машини армійської авіації, яка здійснює розвідку місцевості, цілезазначення та координацію дій групи бойових вертольотів. Крім виконання розвідувально-бойових функцій, Ка-52 може виконувати роль навчально-тренувальної машини [5].
Варіант корабельного базування Ка-52К може оснащуватися порівняно потужнішим, ніж більшість ударних гелікоптерів армійської авіації, комплексом керованого озброєння (КУВ) «Гермес-А» з максимальною дальністю стрільби 15—20 км[⇨].
За контрактом Міноборони РФ та ПАТ «Арсеньєвська авіаційна компанія „Прогрес“ ім. М. І. Сазикіна» від 2011 року планується виготовити 140 вертольотів на загальну суму 120 млрд рублів. In addition to performing reconnaissance and combat functions, the Ka-52 can serve as a training vehicle[5].
The ship-based version of the Ka-52K can be equipped with a relatively more powerful Hermes-A guided weapon system (CAW) than most army aviation attack helicopters with a maximum firing range of 15-20 km[⇨].
Under the contract of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and PJSC Arsenyev Aviation Company Progress named after. N.I. Sazykin" from 2011 it is planned to produce 140 helicopters for a total amount of 120 billion rubles. The cost of one helicopter is about 857 million rubles.
