Out of curiosity, do Minecraft capes allow for transparency? Or, if the cape is used, the game will just fill in the empty pixels with a black texture?

I don't know because player skins fills empty pixels with black texture but mobs textures allows transparency and capes uses mob-like texture but it's a player model so I really don't know

Thanks for the response! I inserted my own cape texture on my character model and had some transparent pixels in the texture; the game filled them in with a black texture so I was wondering if I was doing something wrong. But it seems like that's just a feature I have to deal with; thanks for responding back!
