WELL I’m technically an artist in other mediums (like Minecraft skins, for example), but I rarely ever touch 2d drawings and have no idea how online drawing applications work either ;-;

can somebody tell me how Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny got nominated for best original soundtrack AND SPIDERMAN ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE DIDN'T/???

I love John Williams (obviously) but spider-verse not getting nominated for best score is APPALLING TO ME. DOWNRIGHT CRIMINAL.

hope this reaches one person who needed to hear this.

i feel like this should be said more, and this goes for any social media. unfollow people who make you feel like crap! now people shouldn’t be making you feel like crap on this silly site, but even if you feel you’re being brought down by something you’re seeing just unfollow them! social media is weird, take breaks if you need too, 2024 is the year we get off useless garbages of planforms like twitter, insta, tiktok, even youtube if you aren’t watching it for fun. we shouldn’t be comparing ourselves to influencers, because they’re fake. we don’t need to be addicted to scrolling on social media when it’s bringing us down. I believe in you ❤️

is it just me or are skindex palette contests really confusing?

LIKE am i limited to the colors you provide or can i create subpalettes of the palette to shade? if hueshifting is allowed, how far can i hueshift?????? if you allow someone to pick an extra color for skintone, or black and white accents, is there a limit to that???????????????????? does the white / black have to be fffffff or 000000?????

but srsly I think most of the time skindex palette contests forget the point of the contest: it adds limitations, forcing you to be extra creative and make strong decisions with your skin, so allowing people to add so many extra colors and hue-shifting, etc seems counterintuitive to me, but what do I know :')

I just watched this animated pilot by OlanRogers, and I CANNOT recommend it enough. It delves into heavy topics, be warned, but the storytelling is immaculate and the animation is stunning. It's only 24 minutes and made me ball on multiple occasions via how it presents its messages. It's deep, heartbreaking, relatable, and terrifying yet beautiful, moving, and inspiring to watch.

I am aware this is a Minecraft fansite but there are serious issues going on in the world right now and I cannot just stay silent. There is a war going on right now, in Gaza and Israel. Innocent people are being captured, tortured, and killed. Children are dying. So many people are dying. It is so important to stay caught up on current events even if they do not involve you or your country. Educate yourself, it’s the least you can do. Tune into the news, and do your best to spread awareness. I don’t know how many of you guys use Twitter but, if you do, you know that #CeaseFireNOW is trending. People all over the app are spreading awareness, sharing links to donation websites, etc. I felt it was important to bring the awareness here as well. If you want to help, read this article by BBC News to get a better understanding of the gravity of this situation. Click here to sign a change.org petition to cease fire. Spread the word. 🇵🇸

Heyooo!

Another random question (every few weeks one pops up LOL):

When I leave comments on skins I like, I’m always very specific with what stands out to me and why I like that skin. However, I don’t know if everyone likes me examining their skins like layers of an onion; sometimes specific compliments could also end up being hurtful or disrespectful. So, my question is: Is it okay to compliment the specific things i like about someone’s skin, or is it better to simply say I like it? Or rather, not comment at all?

I’m probably still going to give compliments to skins I like, but I’m just curious as to if people actually like these compliments

download the skin and save the file to your camera roll, then go to skindex, go to upload, and select the file from your camera roll
not sure how others do it, this is just how i used to do it (it's also how i upload my skins from skinseed to here)

download it as an image, open editor, click ‘upload from computer’, select image from photos

**important** when you click download, select view instead of download, and save what appears then to your photos

OMG actually bc of the new cloud saver thing when editing skins on PMC, i can still access it through my mobile devices!! But… i only found that out yesterday, so I haven’t touched it LOL

i’m a very slow and picky skinner, so though i think im 2/3s of the way done, im probably only half way done LMAO

It takes a lot for me to make skins XD
Each of my "Hit List" skins have taken about 2-3 days, kinda' needing to slow down due to having a lot less time to make them.
