What the heck are you talking about?
People will not have to pay to use minecraft 1.8 server software, and nobody will have to pay for realms.

The only people who don't like it are the annoying people who wish the game was still in Alpha, yet refuse to go back and play alpha, and people like you who a) cannot live a day without having a modded Minecraft and b) try their hardest to nit-pick at the update because their computer can't run it at full settings 4k resolution 500 frames per second.

RoadyjrMInecraft 1.8 is really laggy even with a decent computer.Mods and modpacks will be impossible to use

First, 1.8 lags less for me than 1.7.10. My time trying 1.8 was the first time i could play minecraft without lagging in a very long time, only 1.6.6B let me playw ith more than 30 FPS normally. Second, 1.8 will not be impossible to mod, what the heck are you talking about?

Many people have been looking for a good vanilla server for ages, we got sick of all the extra restrictions and plugin carp long ago.
Discontinuing bukkit will not even stop people from hosting modified servers.
People would just connect to a LAN world using hamachi or a similar program.

If you own two consoles, and you're playing X, but you want to play Y, you have to connect a completely new system to your TV, whereas on a PC, you'd just have to open a new game.

If your console has a faulty disk drive, you have to send it out to Sony, and spend like $200 fixing a disk drive, and it takes a few weeks to get back.


Uh.. you do know radishack sells AV splitters, right?
Also, you can just replace the disk drive yourself, no need to spend a large chink of money sending the system in.

The PS4 can or will browse the internet, use netflix, skype, and mods.
Desktop computers can have heat management software installed, to prevent and warn users about overheats. There will be no lag in properly optimized games if the computer is powerful enough, Always have to download what? Please specify. Consoles can also be hacked and get viruses.

Goku_LSSJYeah I'm not denying pcs superiority I'm just letting him know he should be ready to update his equipment a ps4 will run ps4 games in 6 years 6 year old pc will not run a game made 6 years well unless you spent major money on it

A PS4 will still play PS4 games in 6 years, a good 2014 PC will still run 2014 PC games in 6 years.

That is not true at all, people can use voice to text software while they run their server.
They do not have to be above 8 years old, either.

It is a possibility you can run it with that video card, minimum requirements are more like educated guesses.
I have a laptop that is under minimum requirements for many games, and i could play them anyway. For example, i have an Intel Celeron 900 CPU and Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family GPU, but can still play skyrim.
