First off SafetyMoose, you are publicly airing an instance of chatroom moderation rather than reporting the situation to our Global Moderators. I could easily ban you from the forums for this. I won't of course, because I don't think that solves anything. I will suggest you take up your grievances with our Global Moderators.
I can't get in the chat right now because i'm spending time with my family. I have no idea what happened, hopefully you can work it out with the chat mods but, again, you can always esculate the problem to our Global Moderators.
Second (this is directed at everyone), this is Thanksgiving in the states, more than a few of our staff resides here, and we're spending time with friends and family. I'm sure with less staff during the Minecon weekend and now the holiday, things may seem a bit askew but, rest assured the mods here care more than any other Minecraft community site's staff and we'll be working as hard as ever to keep this site at the top of it's game.
I'm not making any kind of official statement here but, PMC WILL be looking for more chat moderators, forum moderators, section specific moderators and maybe even a few more site moderators very soon. Member's behavior and activity on the site (submissions, chat and forums) plays a key factor in this selection.
We can see everything you do, every post, every comment - everything but PMs
Think of it as a naughty or nice list where making the "naughty" list equals no chance at becoming a moderator ever.
Be nice, be helpful, be active and cooperative and we take notice and put you on the "nice" list. We depend on our community to moderate itself with our flag / report system but, we also draw from that same community when it's time to add to our staff.
