Well, I think this project of mine will never see the light of day, at least in this half of 2022. When I have high ambitions for a project, I'm not going to do a full release of it until people actually want to use it.

The beta test was dismal. Only two testers even joined the server, and showed only mild interest, despite the entire game being reskinned to have a completely different experience right off the bat.

If I want people to actually play something I spend many hours making, it needs to be in a state where players legitimately want to spend time playing it. This was my most ambitious project yet that has come into any state of completion, but it's just not good enough. Am I... boring?

let's make a roleplay server together, combining our skills and time, the thing is i've mace many roleplay servers but they are modded using forge and not paper/spigot, so pocket edition players can't join the server. if we try and make one in spigot/paper, we may make a very good server... :)

Heh, 3 months ago it was Christmas, and 3 weeks ago I announced my next project, which I wanted to release this week, but am delaying.

But, as Shigeru Miyamoto, the CEO of Nintendo, said, "A rushed game is never good, but a delayed game is eventually good."

The same applies to this project as well, I believe.

Well, things are taking longer than expected.

As of now I'm updating and fixing bugs in an amazing resource pack known as Star Odyssey for Galingueur_, then I'll return to work on the project. I mean, when you load the resource pack and see hundreds of lines of errors in the log, something's got to change.

I've gotten a few beta testers lined up already, but they're mostly people I've known for awhile.

So, I'm looking for a couple of volunteers from the PMC community to beta test.

Good beta testers will receive cosmetic perks when the project is released.

Requirements:

Have time to dedicate to the beta test

Minimum age of 13

Evidence of activity on PMC or elsewhere I can see (I'm looking for people who will be active)

Willingness to cooperate with other people (I'm not looking for a troll)

A legitimate Minecraft Java Edition account and computer to use it with

I haven't been inactive, been viewing PMC regularly...

In fact, I'm working on a new project, something bigger and more ambitious than a simple Christmas chest theme GUI.

Well, I've had a fun Christmas.

Released a texture pack that got me to level 10, and Eftann Senpai subscribed to me!

Got a great new skin from ZappyGru from a secret Santa that looked so good I did a skin change for the first time in about 3 years, although my gift was so bad I couldn't bring myself to post it and sent it via PM. I'm sorry, recipient.

Got me a new (old hand-me-down) desktop PC lined up with a more powerful graphics card, should be able to consistently reach 60 fps in Minecraft at 1080p and an 8-chunk render distance finally. Just need to get the guy who's going to give it to me to remember it, and I'll need to get a power supply and an os for it.

Got a friend lined up to teach me how to really play survival Minecraft (no seriously, I can barely even get to the nether alone), and might be able to get someone to teach me how to build things. Really the only thing I'm good at with Minecraft, even though it's my favorite game, is tinkering with things 😭

Best Christmas yet, It's like more doors are being opened to me, and it's exciting. Thank you all!
