My Minecraft account got hacked, so I don't play anymore. I don't want to buy a new one because of Mojang's approach to content moderation and my desire to play fewer video games. It's been great having all of your input and making datapacks on this platform. Anyone and everyone has my permission to modify, download, redistribute my datapacks.

You might have noticed datapacks are having a lot of compatibility issues lately with old versions. The Mojang devs have been releasing a lot of changes, so some of my older datapacks won't work until I update them. A few of them actually run despite saying they're old, while others won't run at all. I've updated my more popular datapacks to the newest version, but please let me know if there's one you want to see updated. The good news is that now, datapacks are way more powerful than they used to be, so we can do some really cool stuff that wasn't possible last year! I'm hoping and guessing that the compatibility issues will get better in a few months.

Sorry to everyone whose comments I ignored. I took a huge break from making datapacks.

Most of my stuff only works on 1.19.2 and 1.19.3, but I hope to update some of it to 1.20.1 within the next month.

What I meant to say was the dimensional portals were a success! I just patched a bug where they would kick you suddenly from a dimension, and now they are working well.

Well that blank post was embarrassing. Apparently you can't delete it, so here's what I meant to say:

I'm updating my Dimension Extension to use portals instead of "dimension stacking". It started when I got bored of going up and down ladders as I was testing. With the stacked dimension, it was just too easy to dig straight down through dimensions mindlessly, grabbing OP loot and never really building a base. I think portals will give more opportunities for creativity and freedom. With portals, you have to save up resources to actually build it, so building a base makes sense.

Most of the code is done now, so I am just testing it in survival.

We'll see how it turns out after testing. If it's no fun I guess I could scrap it.

Great news! I can finally update the 1.17 custom structure datapacks to 1.18 because Mojang just released a new snapshot that fixed the old problems.

I will probably do this in March.
