Ironically, the poisonous potato creeper looks very good and I think I might start playing with it because it feels like it might actually blend into more terrain.

I've answered for myself below, but "let's start one of those trends"!

Revealing that 1.21 will have 20 paintings and not 5 is huge for pack makers, since we have so much more space to put the paintings we want! At the same time, Zetterstrand is awesome and it's nice to have another fragment of old Minecraft coming in. Do you have nostalgia for the paintings? Share your own Minecraft painting experience!

I'd ask about the new ones but I haven't been able to properly take a look at Zetterstrand's since 5 of them are only visible in a Short or behind text on his blog. We'll likely see them tomorrow for the snapshot.

Zetterstrand makes is grand return to Minecraft this week. Were you around for when paintings were originally added to the game?

What's your favourite painting from back then and why? Have you used them often?

I'll go first: Paintings have been in the game for as long as I've known it. I don't use paintings too often, maybe once in a base if I want it feel cozy. Sunset usually fits my build the best space-wise, but my favourite is aztec2 for its general aqua hue feel.

OH MY GOODNESS NEW ZETTERSTRAND PAINTINGS THIS IS NOT A DRILL THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING

It's funny because I've been having a dilemma with the new paintings on how to treat them for PADX (I'm almost definitely not touching them anyways), and I just checked the website and wiki for the paintings a few hours ago.

Does that mean Boeving made the wither one so many years ago? (Edit: No, it was Jeb, and the wiki puts that in a weird table entry)

Also it's stupid that he has 15 (shellshock) for the 15th anniversary but they look soooo good and he definitely has a lot of works to catch up on... at least I know this is unlikely to repeat if it is for the anniversary (they admitted it's hard to get the variation you want now)

EDIT: Also, the blog says we'll have 51 paintings even though that brings the total to 46 (or 50 with the elements). General typo, or another tease..?

Been listening to the new soundtrack, and it's certainly given me different feelings in comparison to the last update. I was trying to figure out where to put songs for Music Re-Cued, but I'll have to wait to see where they put it because I feel like there's so much music that's starting to have an amount of variety that might require more splits or changes to how I approach the pack. Stay tuned!

It seems like there's some confusion going around regarding moderation for some reason, but it seems that if you wanna see someone's true colours, you can hover over their name for more information. Hope this can be a helpful tool for y'all =]

And if you feel special because you're a site moderator now, that's okay, but know that this post and the orignal are also site moderators so you're not the only one.

Finally tried my hand again at skinning beyond 'tack buttons on steve's shirt', and later, 'recolour steve's clothes over a recoloured blaze' 🥳

Thank goodness it was for a limited palette jam; it kept me from getting stuck and forced me to create some contrast and detail a planned way.

Being recommended Minecraft Askew made me realize how safe I've been with Minecraft, even after branching out of Programmer Art. So I've downloaded a whole bunch of tweaks I had been too afraid to download... still tweaks, though, so I can get a sample of many people!

Life hack for people with human vision: If it looks red, it is not infrared (this also applies to other colours, but people forget this one sometimes for some reason)
