My friend suggested that I make my own server computer

But I dont think my laptop is up for it

CPU: Intel Core i3 2.6GHz (Quad-Core)
RAM: 4GB @ 500MHz (lol)
Windows 7

I think it will be better on my Custom Gaming PC that im getting later on

CPU: Intel Core i7 2700k, Overclocked to about 4GHz
RAM: 12GB Corsair Venegance @ 1600MHz
Windows 7 Professional
