Ascension – Opening up beta access, apply now!

Greetings, and welcome to the official PlanetMinecraft topic for the Ascension server, an upcoming, and thriving Minecraft server making a break into the community. We are planning a released beta by the 1st of August. I highly recommend all players to at least have a look within our FAQs page before continuing onto the server. Our server features a unique experience and will be confusing if one was to just hop on the server and tried to start play. With that being said, let us continue!

Please note that our website and forums will be undergoing A LOT of changes and may be unstable until closer to the date of the closed beta, which is August 1st as of right now, but is subject to an earlier date.

Also please note that we are currently not looking for staff members, in the event that we are, we will notify the players, beta access will just give players an exclusive look at the server and will offer them special perks and rewards for participating in the beta.




Our dev team has been going hard at getting this server up, I'd like to take the time to thank everyone for their work as well as give a list of our current staff team, sponsors, and supporters.







When joining our beta access you will get an exclusive look into what our server has to offer, you will be able to win prizes, participate in special events, and gain money/items that will be transferred over to our official release. For joining our beta access you will also be awarded with in game money, useable items, and a few commands like /hat, and a disguise of your choice. Our main purpose for opening beta access is to discover bugs and to apply what our players would like to see in our server, we want to hear the voices of the crowd and implement what the people want. To participate within our beta event you will have to fill out a quick application outlining a couple of things we’d like to see in our testers. Once accepted, you will be notified and will be added to the whitelist.





From the genesis of Ascension, the development team has had aspirations of going big, but we didn’t realize how big we planned to go until only recently. Go big or go home right? We don’t want to be just another survival server, we want people to know the name of Ascension and this is how we plan on accomplishing that goal. Our server is not just like any old survival server, it’s a unique survival experience with supporting features to enhance the overall experience. So what is this unique experience you ask? On our server, players will be required to have a certain level before being able to interact with certain items. For example, at level X through level Y the player will only be able to use wood items and leather armor, only being able to craft/cook certain foods etc, this will be further explained on our forum in the beta access section. To support this dynamic gameplay we will also feature a robust economy, where players will be able to trade, sell, and buy items from other players or the server shop. We feature an economy because we feel it caters to a more communal aspect, players will be brought together by the economy if executed correctly and we feel we have an adequate grasp on economical aspects to do that. Lastly, our server will have mini-games to support the survival gameplay, participating in mini-games will gain items that can be used during survival play, and it will also be another way to gain experience that will be required to advance within the survival world.





In the about the server section you saw me speaking of experience, this plugin allows for that experience to be gained, its custom coded and has a lot to offer. This plugin prevents players from using items that are not in their level range, it features a scoreboard that updates in realtime and will show you your current level and the amount of experience you have, and much more. There are plenty of ways to gain experience like; killing other players in duels, mining ores, digging dirt, cutting down trees, killing mobs, and playing mini-games. Just play the game and you’ll gain experience, this plugin was designed to cater to all types of players, so they’ll be able to enjoy the game as normal but with a challenge entailed as well.
