I had an idea for the extra server I got, and was wondering if anyone would find it interesting?
The server would be "Darklands survival"
the map would be custom generated, like a cavern world of some sort. I generated a prototype, the image is large, 1080x1920 so click this link to see: http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/479/ ... 000414.png
The main goal for the players would be to survive in this terrain, struggling for the most basic of resources, such as torches and trees. Factions could be installed, but the server would probably not be a grief server.
Coal ore would be more rare, and pockets of glowstone would generate in the landscape.
Hostile mobs would spawn often, and in large numbers.
Special abilities could be added, such as items that give off light. Possibly arrows from bows if you have certain items in your inventory.
The main goal would to be to survive this terrain, and create a functioning city.
Would anyone play on a server of this type? Got any neat ideas to add?
