Endermites that stand on purpur blocks for a certain amount of time will burrow into it and become a shulker.
Tossing a dye item onto an endermite causes it to "consume it" (this is indicated by colored particle effects)
Colored endermites that burrow into purpur blocks will turn into a shulker of the corresponding color.
Endermites will only consume dye items.
Compatable with 1.13, 1.14, 1.15, and 1.16.
Server/Singleplayer friendly.
Survival Friendly.

Installation:
Download the zip file
Put the zip file into the world's datapack folder
Go to your minecraft world and type /reload

Known Bugs:
Sometime multiple endermites can consume a single dye if they are in equal distance with the dye.

Not until after making this entire data pack did I realize that someone has already made a similar concept with the same name around 2 years ago, but I do not want my hard work to go to waste. Also, they do not include colored shulkers. I'm going to keep this post up with a link to their version here:
