    First datapack ever hi

Always hated those pesky lava lakes on the surface burning up anything that surrounds them? Always keeping a bucket of water ready while exploring to splash them the moment you spot one? Boy do I have the solution for you!

After 1.18, I could never find a mod or datapack for this, so I decided to make my own with the help of some tutorials. This datapack should work for 1.18 and upwards. Just make sure to change the pack.mcmeta number to your corresponding minecraft version's if you're using a higher version than 1.18. Tested and working in modpacks as well.

This datapack doesn't actually fully remove all the lava lakes. I couldn't disable them completely, so I simply changed the rarity number to 9999. This makes them so elusive, finding one should take some incredible luck and is probably a sign from some outside omnipotent force or entity. You decide.

You can also tweak the rarity of the lakes yourself if you'd like. Just find the JSON file inside, open in text editor and change the "chance" number in the file to your liking. 1 makes them spawn 10-20 blocks apart (extremely common). 200 is the default number. Don't use 0! That makes the game crash. And while I haven't tried, I wouldn't recommend going over 9999.

    Some disclaimers:

This datapack ONLY affects surface area lava lakes! Random lava block placement, (those ones you see pouring out of mountains) underground lakes and the Nether are unaffected. This datapack does NOT remove already generated lava lakes from your world! It's recommended to either generate new chunks or start a new world with the datapack installed.

    Enjoy! :)
