This adds a custom "build-up" infection that could only be found deep within the caves of the Overworld, along with 4 unique mobs that could be found in the depths that'll increase infection when attacking you!

A more "detailed" list of additions
Enemies:
-Huskull - melee, fast
-Skelebird - bow, fast
-Gloom Popper - explodes on death
-Gloom Spirit - attracted to the Alluring Skull (Annoying)

Items:
-Alluring Skull (Helmet)

Custom infection "Gloom" build-up:
-It slowly drenches you in Darkness the closer you reach the max limit. (Only you can see your own particles.)

-You hear more and more noises the higher Gloom you have. (Only you can hear it.)

-When you have full Gloom you instantly die! And begin one of the three stages of infection. Dying from Gloom again would advance you to the next infection stage, or die any other way to go back an infection stage/revert back to normal.

Custom Enemies
Overall details:
-All of these mobs spawn only in the Overworld at Y level 10 to -50.
-They all apply Gloom to players in their own ways of attack.
-All except for the Gloom Spirits spawn naturally. and in packs of two!
-Custom mobs have knockback resistance!

How do they spawn naturally?
Each special mob has a 1 out of 5 chance to replace any specified existing mob, like:
Huskull's could replace a Zombie.
Skelebird's could replace a skeleton.
Gloom Popper's could replace a Creeper.
(If the mobs are at the correct Y level's)

Custom mob sounds
All custom mob's except for Gloom Spirit are Silent and have different attack/hurt noises.



Huskull: (zombie)
Health: 16
Speed: 0.4
Damage: 6
Other: Applies 15 Gloom and 2 seconds of Blindness when attacking.

Skelebird: (skeleton)
Health: 10
Speed: 0.4
Other: Arrows apply 20 Gloom and 2 seconds of Blindness.

Gloom Popper: (baby zombie)
Health: 4
Speed: 0.2
Damage: 2
Other: Applies 10 Gloom and 1 second of Blindness when attacking.
Unique Death: The Gloom Popper causes a high knockback explosion, applying 50 Gloom and 1 second of Blindness to anyone affected.

Gloom Spirit: (vex)
Health: 2
Speed: 0.7
Damage: 9
Other: Applies 10 Gloom and 1 second of Blindness when attacking.
Unique Spawning: Every player wearing the Alluring Skull has a 3% chance every second to spawn a Spirit at their feet! (Annoying)




Custom Loot Table:
All custom enemies except for the Gloom Spirit have this Loot Table.
This loot is unaffected by Looting Enchantment's or Luck Effect.

Loot Pool 1/2:

50% - Glowstone/Gunpowder/Redstone
These items have an equal chance to drop

50% - Nothing

Loot Pool 2/2:

50% - Fermented Spider Eye/Phantom Membrane/Ghast Tear/Blaze Powder/Magma Cream/Glistering Melon/Golden Carrot/Rabbit Foot: These items have an equal chance to drop (20 weight)
Dragons Breath: Has a reduced chance to drop (1 weight)

50% - Nothing




Alluring Skull
What does it do?
Alluring Skull applies the Glowing effect to the wearer and to all Gloom Skull mobs (except for Gloom Spirit) and Gloom Infection Stage 1-3 affected Players that are within 35 blocks.
But with one downside (other than being visible to other players), it attracts Gloom Spirits, every second there is a 3% chance that a Gloom Spirit would appear at your feet and start attacking you. (annoying)

Where can I get it?
It's a rare drop from Glow Squids. :)

The Gloom
What is it?
Gloom is a system that can only affect you when you go too deep into the caverns of the Overworld, something to up the difficulty a bit along the way down, another thing to keep track of, unless you neglect it and let it kill you outright.

How do you get it?
You can get it from the Gloom Skull mobs, players that are in the stages of infection, and naturally gain Gloom when in the dark at Y level 10 or lower.

How can you get rid of it?
It can be lowered when around light sources that are bright enough, standing in direct sunlight removes it even quicker, Glow Berries can remove a decent bit too!

Gloom Player Infection Stages
Infection stages are achieved by dying to Gloom. (multiple times)

The Gloom Infection stages aren't all lost when dying any other way, you just go down a stage.


Being on any stage of Gloom Infection:
-You are unable to wear armour while infected.
-Your attacks can apply Gloom buildup to other players, the higher your Infection stage the more you apply to them.
-Burn in direct sunlight
- You're invisible and have cool dust particles :D



Gloom Infection stage: One
-Health: 16
-Damage: +1
-Speed: +20%
-Armour: 12
-Toughness: 3
-Other: Attacks apply 20 Gloom to other Players.

Gloom Infection stage: Two
-Health: 14
-Damage: +2
-Speed: +40%
-Armour: 15
-Toughness: 4
-Other: Attacks apply 30 Gloom to other Players.

Gloom Infection stage: Three
-Health: 12
-Damage: +3
-Speed: +60%
-Armour: 20
-Toughness: 5
-Other: Attacks apply 40 Gloom to other Players.
-Unique debuff: burn in any bright light!!

The Jam's finally over, I can now fix these models!

(Now that I learned to not use Optifine versions, hopefully next Datapack Jam there would be no serious issues with resource packs)

Great pack!
Sadly the textures dont work tho ._.

Oh god I only saw this now! Really? D: oh no.


Edit: It works in 1.18.2 and the whole time I forgot to check 1.19. God this is horrible I'm so sorry



Edit 2: Correcting myself, 1.18.2 WITH OPTIFINE, AAAAAAAA (The model names had capital letters in them). My god I am... upset. I was so god damn happy with this and- this sucks. So godamn much. Why only now was I told this? :<
