Get a ghast or a blaze to shoot a fireball into a smeltable block, and there's a good chance it will get instantly smelted... or destroyed I guess, video shows the effect a bit better than my words can.
Works on any block that can be smelted into another block, doesn't work on stuff like logs which only get smelted into charcoal
But it does also work on raw iron/gold/copper blocks, turning them into the normal iron/gold/copper blocks instead
