Introduction
This guide is here to help you understand and overcome the threat of infections. Whether you need to identify an infection or find the cure, this book holds the answers you seek.
Sources of Infection
Infections don't appear out of nowhere. They come from different mobs. There are three levels of these sources:
-Lvl 1: Can infect you with Lvl 1 infection and rarely with Lvl 2 or 3.
-Lvl 2: Can infect you with Lvl 1 and 2 infections, and rarely with Lvl 3.
-Lvl 3: Can infect you with Lvl 2 and 3 infections.
The chances of getting infected are different depending on the game difficulty. It's harder to get infected on Easy and easier on Hard.

Infection Process
When you get infected, you might suddenly feel dizzy without any reason, this is an indicator of the infection onset.
Once infected, you have a certain amount of time before you start to fall apart. The time you have depends on the difficulty: 1h on Hard, 2h on Normal and 4h on Easy.
Eating a golden apple can undo the infection progress by 4%, but you can eat a maximum of 10 (6 on Hard and 24 on Easy).
Enchanted golden apples can protect you from infections for 2h(1.5h on Hard and 2.5h on Easy), but if you're already infected they will act like a normal golden apple, but ignoring the limit.
Honey can neutralize symptoms for 5m(3m on Hard and 10m on Easy).
Finally, keep an eye on the bar on the right of your hotbar – it shows how far the infection has progressed. When it fills up completely, your time is up and you will start to decompose(faster on Hard and slower on Easy)

To cure an infection, you need three specific effects, that are detailed in the book for each infection. Apply them all at the same time to beat the infection.
