This data pack is a segment of functions from my main project Runechant, it adds a new enchanting system to the game. There are a total of 30 new enchants each with 5 different levels. All effects can be trigger as long as an enchanted item is in the main or off hand, allowing two new enchants to be utilized at once. There is an advancement system to help guide the player.
The enchanting system uses a multi-block structure;
A hollow 3x3 of Crying Obsidian
A 3x3 of Crying Obsidian with an Amethyst Block as the core
A Soul Campfire in the center below the Amethyst Block
Enchanting is performed using a catalyst item and a stack of a secondary item. The catalyst is named with the chosen enchant and then simply throw everything along with the item you wish to enchant into the center of the multi-block crucible.
The five catalyst and secondary items are;
1x Ender Pearl & 64x Amethyst Shard
1x Phantom Membrane & 64x Blaze Powder
1x Wither Skeleton Skull & 64x Chorus Fruit
1x Nether Star & 64x Sculk Vein
1x Wither Rose & 64x Spider Eye
There are several types of enchants, on hit, defeating mobs, taking damage, blocking, shifting & sprinting. Re-enchanting an item will replace the previous enchant.
The 30 enchantment phrases to label the catalyst item are;
On Hit Enchants:
Storm
Impact
Venom
Toxic
Stun
Ignite
Weaken
Devour
Gravity
Frost
Defeating Mob Enchants:
Onslaught
Lifesteal
Infect
Inferno
Terror
Taking Damage Enchants:
Barrier
Freeze
Recover
Blocking Enchants:
Guarding Block
Reflecting Block
Furious Block
Electrifying Block
Pulling Block
Shifting Enchants:
Ambush
Assassinate
Aim
Locate
Harvester
Sprinting Enchants:
Traveler
Healer
Note: The corner blocks of the multi-block structure are not needed, it was just easier to explain with 3x3s. Enchantments are also fairly high-scaled at the later levels due to scaling of my overall project - Runechant. This means that you will feel overpowered with max level enchants.
