with 1.17 being the blocks i wondered if mojang should of split the cave gen part for the world height so i made a universal version of the biome system that works on both the old CavesAndCliffs universal old and new with noise caves and local water levels. CavesAndCliffs universal old.zip is the old world height and CavesAndCliffs universal .zip is the new world type would of done that via a new world setting for new worlds to use that as default due to world conversion problems both files are in zip pick what one you want.
if you agree or disagree please be civil as i dont want fights
note forest is missing deepslate ore that is a mistake may fix it i may not
CompatibilityMinecraft 1.17

Does this data pack add the new cave "biomes" without bringing in new gens like the giant caves? I was brought here by recommendation cause I'm looking for a worldgen datapack that could revert settings back to old cave sizes while keeping the new Lush caves, deep dark, and stuff like that.

I recognize this is an old post, and I've been looking into making worldgen packs myself, but I've never figured out anything beyond structure files and jigsaw blocks. I just hate how much more torches the new caves cost just to mob-proof mining areas, plus the new ore distribution is frustrating.
