I don't know about you, but I think applications for minecraft servers are stupid and so not useful. Here is some of the reasons I think this. Most of this doesn't apply to big servers.
#1: Anyone can lie in their applications, and get away with it.
When someone makes a application for a minecraft server they can lie, and most of the time people do. Some people even copy and paste whole applications. True some things you can figure out if their being truthful or not, but alot of things they can't.
#2: Saying things people don't mean.
It seems like the people who lie the most about how much they care about the server, usually get staff ranks. Most of the time people just want perks. They might even leave right away. It is like the people who chose who gets staff knows the people just want perks, but they don't care.
#3: People Get Staff This Way and End Up Being No Help.
Most of the time when people accept staff members, they don't do anything, cause really the owner didn't need that staff member. So why ask for staff? If they aren't going to do anything.
