Hi guys, sorry that I haven't uploaded a blog in a little while and that I have been quite inactive on PMC, but what the hell, obviously is the stupid assessment season. It's nearly over! So expect heaps of blogs within the next 5-10 weeks.
Well, I don't have that much power over Minecraft, but I can sure gather up heaps of semi-scientific information to predict what could happen in this time. Jeb might be creating all of the new things to make the game epic, but don't believe in this blog like a religion, ok. This is just an estimation and an opinion, so feel free to leave some suggestions in the comments guys!
As you know, Minecraft is getting much more technical, therefore requiring more and more coding knowledge to use basic features (Superflat, some redstone devices, adventure mode, servers.) If you ask me, Jeb will just not stop believing that everybody does NOT know how to code in Java or his stupid new languages.
If Minecraft turns out to be like this, only the smartest coders will get the #1 experiance out of a formerly awesome game, like it was in 1.1 (when I first played.) A lot has changed in a year, so that should mean that a lot should change in 2 years, but nothing very 'codey' should be added.
No, unfortunately FVDisco won't be taking over Minecraft but you will need his knowledge of creativity to use it. Too much Redstone and non-simple things will be added. Many Jeb haters say that he is removing the simplicity of Minecraft. I'm not saying Jeb is bad, but I personally believe that he is better than Notch in a way. Notch did create the game but Jeb is the only person keeping the game alive, and allowing more people to play.
Jeb has added some really cool things such as emeralds, nether ore and mobs, but things such as Adventure mode and preset codes for superflat has just stuffed up the game. Who could ever figure out what the hell Jeb is saying on his presets?
On a more positive theory, Jeb might make the game more addictive. This can be either a good or bad thing, depending on how you would like to take it. To shake off all of that freaky negative theory, I'll start with the upside. This can be a good thing because people who have hated Minecraft can like it, you can play it sooooo much and show off your creativity even further and for the most part, it increases Mojang's profit to make even cooler games!
For the bad part, those of you in college or high school might suffer in your grades, which is not the best thing. It reduces your social life and all you ever do is sit in your bedroom, watching YouTube and playing with blocks. Many health problems such as eye strain, headaches and radiation (what, am I a nerd or something?) So this could be either good or bad.
There is absolutely nothing bad about this. This expresses the creativity of every single Minecrafter. Jeb will add many more features to make sure users can create ABSOLUTELY everything that people want to. Quarter slabs, half walls and many, many more may be added. If you explore the forums and look at some suggestions, 99.99% of them will be helpful to creativity.
Jeb has added quartz recently, which is great to make up some really cool classical Roman and Greek structures, instead of using the good ol' stone. This does not mean that only creative will benefit, but so will survival by making it easier to create the cool items, so even newbs and noobs can make some cool stuff.
You all hate lag and griefers. Well, Jeb might focus on making it better for all operating systems to reduce all lag. This means nubs like me can finally play the game properly, and get the full feel of the great game. If you suck at Minecraft due to lag, this is not acceptable, Jeb needs to step up and improve the code to prevent the lag.
Jeb can also add some new anti-grief tools, to prevent these stupid trolls. Griefers should only ever grief servers that they are allowed to grief and not those that say 'NO GRIEFING.' It does not seem possible to prevent all grief, but we can change this. Nobody likes good grief.
