Midnight. And bored. I needed something to do. Desperately.
I looked around the room. My eyes landed on my Nerf handgun. Not specially modified, just a simple Nerf handgun. An idea popped into my head. I loaded it up with a suction dart, aimed up, and pulled the trigger. The dart stuck to the ceiling. It didn't come down. I put the gun down and found something else to do.
2am. And entertained. I had forgotten about the Nerf dart. Bad idea.
I felt something soft land on my head. I froze up, ideas rushing through my head in a split second about what it was. A cockroach? A stinkbug? A beetle? My breathing grew heavy, and my entire body started to tingle horribly. I nearly fainted. I couldn't move. There was fear of death rushing throughout every cell in my body. I was still breathing faster than anyone should ever breath. Suddenly, I started having some form of a dream, while awake. I recollected it as being related to a show I had seen on TV about an hour earlier. I had no idea where it came from. All I could think about...
...was the Nerf.
The Nerf. That had nearly killed me.
