The long-waited, long-procrastinated IHasFins remix of the Minecraft OST song Pigstep is finally here. It has to offer a few new background drops and drum loops, while keeping the original song in check.

But it's time to take a peek behind the cover...

Mammoth Vs. Remyxx is a music event I've been hosting for a few weeks now. It's a battle between two fictional characters, Mammoth and Remyxx. Mammoth suctions the darkness around him and uses it to strengthen himself to battle Remyxx. Remyxx, however, has a different strategy. He traverses worlds stealing portions of reality from people there, and then returns to his world to try his luck with Mammoth.

Their powers, in reality, are music. Well, duh.
In reality, Remyxx's tracks are only...well, Remixes. Mammoth's tracks are all original. However, they are usually really dark.

Well, the third Remyxx song was the next one I needed to do. So I checked my Analytics, and thought...why not Pigstep?

Considering about 70% of my views are redirected from PMC, I was sure Pigstep was the perfect thing to remix. However, I put it off for quite a while.

in the process of remixing Pigstep, I used Soundation (https://www.soundation.com) and its tracks. I didn't tweak the OST song at all - I just placed my tracks on top of it. And...that didn't go as well as I hoped it would...

On September 28th, 2020, I premiered the Pigstep remix on YouTube - multiple times, actually, due to issues - and it didn't get that many views, which was surprising since Pigstep proved really popular to the Minecraft community. So far, though, my most popular Minecraft song - and, now my most popular song - has been my remix of JT Music's Minecraft Dungeons Rap, which is understandable since I messed around with it a bit more.

For the last part of the song, the stroke loop in the other portions of the chorus - or whatever you call it, it's an instrumental song - vanished. That was mainly because I was lazy, but it paid off to let the original song have it's run for that period of time. It's still technically not original, though, because the drop wubs were still playing all through that part. You have to listen closely to hear that.

I also plan on actually adding this song as a music disc in a mod later on.

So yeah, that's it. Hope you enjoyed reading this, and I'll see you guys later.
CreditThe fabric of reality for putting me through all this.
