This short story covers more of Parla Jade and Dr. Trang's external activities inside the Decades' Civil War.
I'm only introducing some more characters for future references, so if anything goes haywire in this story, just give me some more ideas.

While the civil war still rages on, the two of them just emerged from the Opium Forest... once again.
They attended to another Nature Guardian (Queen Bee) in her dying moment, yet they couldn't do anything with her slowly dying.
Dr. Trang still said nothing after contacting Cassandra. Perhaps she did have her own - and would tend her former patient once again, were he in verge of death.
Only a few minutes after another Dryad fell did another problem arise.
Another so-called "alchemist" from the Empire just appeared without them knowing (though she could be more of an elementalist, judging her own specialization).
She seems not to be pleased that there were witnesses of her own research.
Both sides were on a standoff for a few minutes and then raged into battle when Parla Jade accidentally threw a rock at her (following with an earth shield smashing her face multiple times).

Parla Jade was still not enough to face the alchemist head on, as she was only getting used to her ancestors' greatstaff a few moments ago.
In a sudden, the dying Dryad offered to tap into ancestral powers inside the staff, which Parla obliged.
A little spark of green light shoves into her mind, and her elemental aptitude was totally completed, though a skilled alchemist were not to be underestimated (an understatement, as potions are supposed to be resistant of basic elements)

It was a long battle, but there was no victor. Parla Jade fell exhausted while Dr. Trang struggled to prevent both from dying prematurely.
And yet the young alchemist stayed her hand.
"In case you want to know... Selina", the now "elementalist" said. "I have to brief this to my lady, she will know what to do with you two. Until then... farewell".
She then teleported away, leaving the two in wonder.
"Well, that was quite a close call. Let's take a brief break, tonight we retake the Palace," Parla Jade proclaimed.
