I lift my eye lids open as I stifle a yawn.

I fight the sleepiness and slowly sit up.

'Where am I?'

I look around the dark room, Desolate, lonely.

"Eh Nat stop thinking about the worse of things....stick to positive things...I've got a home.."

Slowly crawls out of bed..

The wooden floor boards creak under her as her stomach growls.

"I need food..probably should see if mom put anything in the fridge..."

Heads downstairs..

The kitchen is full of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and from cabinet to cabinet.

She walks up to the fridge and pulls the door open.

Gasping, she jumps back at the horrible smell or rotten milk and decaying meat.

"Ew, gross!"

Slams the door shut.

'Now what should I do?..'

Sighs.

"I guess I'll have to eat somewhere else... Here, I'm just asking for food poisoning. Ugh."

Natasha goes back in her room, dresses, then grabs her backpack.

"I'm off to school ! See you later !" She shouts.

No answer. She gets to the front door and opens it. Then she starts walking in the street, looking for a place to eat. Luckily, she finds a nice snack bar that has a terrace with outdoor tables and umbrellas. She goes to sit at one and waits. A waitress comes near her and asks:

"What would you like ?"

"Pastries and some coffee, please."

"Coming right up !"

Natasha smiles as the girl brings her a nice-looking breakfeast that smells delicious. She starts eating and feels a bit better already. When she's done, she pays and looks at her watch. Suddenly, she realizes something's very off.

"Oh no ! I'm going to be late !"

Hurries down the sidewalk, but doesn't notice a taller figure in front of her.

She almost falls over, but luckily regains her balance.

"Hey, sweetie."

She looks up, surprised to see a guy who appears to be a few years older then herself standing there.

"I'm so sorry..I wasn't looking where I was going." Natasha explains nervously.

He smiles a creepy grin.

Natasha backs up nervously. "I have to be on my way..sorry again.."

She tries to push past him but he grabs her arm and twists it. "Yeow!" Natasha tries pushing away but he is holding on tightly

"Let me go !" She screams trying to kick him.

"No way." He says. "You're coming with me."

"No ! No ! Please, no !"

She keeps struggling and tries to free herself, but he's too strong for her and starts dragging her to the street, where his car awaits. Natasha's panicked and starts crying, as the guy puts his hand over her mouth to prevent her from screaming any more. Suddenly, she hears a girl's voice:

"Hey, what do you think you're doing ?"

The guy turns quickly, but not fast enough to dodge the heavy blue backpack that wacks him in the head. He collapses, unconscious.

"Th... thanks !" Natasha says, freeing herself.

"You're welcome !" Says the other girl. "Are you okay ?"

"I... guess so..."

"What a weirdo... By the way, hi ! My name is Arianwyn Silver !"



Arian was walking to school, as every morning. Then, she heard a scream: "Yeow !" She looked at the way where it came from and saw a girl struggling and trying to kick a guy who was twisting her arm. "Let me go !" The girl shouted.

'Hmmmm...' Arian thought. 'Either I'm hugely mistaken, which would be surprising, either she's in trouble. Better help her out.'

She carefully approached the guy from behind and couldn't resist the idea of giving him a bad surprise. "Hey, what do you think you're doing ?" She said. She was pretty satisfied to see him turn around, and even more satisfied when she realized she knocked him out with her backpack. Then she helped the girl up.

"You okay ? My name's Arianwyn Silver."

"I'm Natasha. Natasha Rose Fern."

"Glad to meet you, Natasha. I guess you don't mind walking with me to school ?"

"Not at all." Natasha shivers. "I'd rather not be alone..."

"Understandable. Let's go !"

Both of them start running toward the school, as they're late, and none of them wants to stick around any longer. Natasha looks at Arian, who smiles to her. The silver-haired girl seems very nice and friendly.

'Hmm... Maybe this new school won't be that bad, after all...'
