A lot of people don't know how to upload map files, so I figured I'd create this tutorial.

Part one: The file
  1. Save and quit your world so it's up to date.
  2. Go in the world select and look for your world. There are two names, and the one on the bottom is the file name. Renaming a world does NOT change its file name, so look for the name in gray.
  3. Open up your file explorer and look for the world with that name. (Your world saves are in C:/users/(user name)/appdata/roaming/.minecraft/saves.)
  4. Select the folder and convert it to a zip file using a program like 7zip.

Part two: Uploading to PMC
This part is pretty easy. All you need to do is create a new map and click the Upload Map File in the Map Contents tab. If it's larger than 15 megabytes, you'll have to upload it to another website, such as mediafire or dropbox. If it's less than that, click the browse button and it should open a file explorer. Go back in to the .minecraft/saves folder and look for the zip file you created. Double click that and the name should appear in Planet Minecraft. Click save and wait a bit. While you're waiting, edit the map and add screenshots, a description, etc. Once it's done uploading the file, click Publish Live and your map will be downloadable!
