Server Staff
To have a good minecraft server you need a good staff team. Fine staff members that are mature and can do their job right. Make sure when they apply they have a detailed application. I recommend staff members that are around the age of 16 or old. some younger people maybe more mature than older people. Never give anyone Console, /op, or * perm (like op but can't do /stop) unless you trust them 100%. I Recommend giving only people you have known for a very long time and/or you know in real life.
Server Website And Discord/Ts
Having a very detailed website will help a lot of players when they first join. Make sure you have the server ip easy to find on the home page with the link to the discord or the ip to the ts. Having an organized discord is also important. Make sure every staff member is in a role marked staff or what their staff rank is so if players need help they know who to ask.
Donations and Ranks
Do not make a pay to win server Example: Lowest rank $30-50. Make cheap ranks but if you want high priced ranks also make 5-8
$5 $10 $15 $20 $25 $30 $35 $40 $45 $50
Make sure everyone rank or no rank has a chance to do good on the server
Buying A Server
Before you purchase your server do some research on the following things.
- The Server Host
- How much ram is good for # of plugins # of players (if a modded server # of mods) how many you plan on having.
- Does the host offer DDoS Protection
- What special little gifts do you get with buying a server
