So, we shall now learn how to draw long boi
Also I am drawing this using “Adobe Fresco” so I have le brushes I need to use
I used, for this drawing, “Hard round” and “soft round opacity”

First, start with a simple circle. If you are using pencil and paper be sure to do this lightly


Next, add his muzzle. It’s quite simple. Be sure to also draw this lightly



Sketch out the neck


Now, if you are drawing this digitally, lower the opacity on the sketch


Make a new layer above it


Simply trace over like so


And remove the layer. If you are on pencil and paper you can erase the sketch now


Now on to facial details!

He has a unique nose


Tooth ALWAYS goes behind the nose
Also he only has a tooth on one side :D



Ignore that it’s colored now but I wanted I forgot to screenshot it earlier
I always have the mouth end like this


I’m so sorry I forgot to screenshot the fins but they are quite simple once you get the hang of it, three triangles basically

Then you have two options for the stomach


I preferably like the bottom one

Now these next steps are mostly for digital drawers!
But it is possible to color it on paper

hehe Long boi colors


To make it easier I like to fill in the background with a darker color, I usually do a dark blue for some reason


Color it with the simple long boi colors that you can use an eye dropper to select the colors and use :)
This image is mostly for that
Also when coloring his eye, the green ALWAYS follows the pupil


Be sure to make a layer under your lineart

This next step you dont have to do but it’s just something I do :)
For the tooth color the part closes to the mouth with an opaque yellow

Erase it on the end a bit where you can blend it

Make a layer below that and color it in with a yellowish white. NEVER color teeth with a plain white, I mean you can but I never do.


This part is also optional and is really only for digital drawers

Now, merge the two layers with the underbelly and mainbody (unless you colored it on one layer)

Now make another layer above that and clip it to it


Now add your shadows


I draw shadows pretty aggressively, you don’t have to do it like this it’s just my art style

Now, those shadows are WAY too dark at the moment.
So we will need to lower the opacity for the shadows down to about 10
That’s what I do anyway

you can play with it and get it how you like


It should look something like this:




Now we have to do the fins,

Just like before, make a layer above the fins and clip it to it


Now add shadows around where it touches the outside? (Idk how to explain it but do it like this)


Now add tiny little lines like so


Do it to the little one


And lower the opacity again

it should look something like this


Now, add a layer above your lineart


And color on the eye like so


Now lower the opacity on that to about 45
