Nahh i don't think its because of legos, roblox already did that since 2006.
I think its youtube, which made the youtubers and minecraft popular.

most peopel guy minecraft because of LEGOS.
they're really expensive so they put all of thier creativeity in this one simple and odd game...
thats one reason.

You can do this with most computer games, its actually extremely hard to stop people from doing this.

I think minecraft became popular due to the similarity to the popular brand called LEGO. Lego however, has became increasingly expensive and continue to bargain costlier prices. Minecraft is simple, and the competency to be able to build anything you can imagine is something that defiantly arouses the human mind. Minecraft is only 25 dollars, compared to the 500 dollar lego deathstar, minecraft is definatly worth it!
