Today, I will be interviewing Meggles She is a major inspiration of mine, and I am so happy that she let me interview her. So, let's get into it!
1. How did you think of 'Meggles' for your username?
I chose to use 'Meggles' because it is my nickname irl,
and because I just wanted it to be something simple haha
2. Why did you start making skins for both yourself and other people?
I used to play on a ton of minecraft classic servers when the game was still fairly new. Most of the players used interesting skins they made themselves rather than the default Steve skin. I wanted something that was unique to me too. It was inspiration to start creating skins for myself, and later on when I joined planet minecraft, I thought it would be a good idea to share my skins with other players as well. :)
3. When did you first start PMC?
I joined over two years ago, a friend from one of the classic servers I played on introduced me to the site. She told me about it because she was a member and made me a skin to match hers.
4. Who has been your biggest inspiration so far?
Hmm, the biggest ones are Teddy and KnobleKnives. Even though they both barely post anymore
They both have really unique styles. I love how KnobleKnives can create such distinct, colorful, and interesting palettes for all of his skins. I don’t think I could ever make anything like him. xD And I feel like Teddy has such great attention to detail in all of his skins. It inspired me, and really made me think about the way I design my skins and think of ways of how I could add as many details I could onto a tiny canvas. Aside from them, pretty much anyone who I’m subscribed to has been an influence to me, a least a tiny bit in some way. cx
5. How long have you been doing digital art?
For about a year or so. When I first got my tablet, I barely used it. It took some time for me to get used to drawing digitally. I do all different types of art besides digital, but it’s actually my favorite now. c:
6. What is your favorite animal?
Meowls.
I mean wut
It’s a tie between tiny owls and kitties <3
7. What is your favorite color to do digital art with?
Hmm.. probably blue / purple. They’re both really fun to shade, and I include them in the majority of my artwork ^ -^
8. Do you play any musical instrument?
I have a keytar and an ocarina, I learned to play them just by teaching myself by ear, and by books with sheet music. Never had any real music lessons though, but I wish I had x ux
9. How often do you upload skins?
Not very often, as you can see xD and that’s because I’m literally busy 7 days a week ; v;
10. Do you make skins for fun or fame? Or both??
For fun, it’s just a hobby x) I really do appreciate all the nice things people have made for me though <3
