Hello! Today I will be talking about creativity. Now, if you are younger, or just plain stupid, creativity means the use of original ideas and concepts. If you are thinking that this blog is aimed at something specific, like teen skins, you are very much mistaken, because I will be talking about it as a general whole.
Now, to me, creativity is important because it innovates the human race. Look at Gene Roddenberry; he made one of the most successful and popular television series of all time. And he created it with...well, creativity. He was creative enough to write a pilot episode of this TV show, and then it became a wider universe as he used his creative brain (The TV show was Star Trek).
Now, I'm not saying that only certain people are creative. Everyone is, but they just need to find it. Whether it be writing, inventing, drawing, everyone can have a talent at something. Even if it is Lego bricks or Minecraft, creativity can be unlocked one way or another.
Now, you probably want to ask me how to unlock your creativity. That I cannot answer, because I'm not a psychologist or a motivational speaker. I'm just a lonely Whovian on a Minecraft social media website that writes blogs and makes horrible skins.
But why I wrote this blog was because I've always thought creativity was always somewhat lacking on a website that, ironically, is themed after a game that encourages creative thinking. I looked at the Pop Reel today; same types of skins, same kind of blogs, same everything.
Now, not to be a jerk, but people need to try harder to get orginal content, because if everything is the same, people will not have a wide variety of chocies for skins/servers/maps, and this is bad, making them feel disappointed and frustrated at the creator of the aforementioned entities for not having an imagination.
Now, if this carries on in, let's say, two decades, no new technology, no new books, no new TV shows will ever come out, forcing you to be stuck with the same old garbage over and over again. In short, innovation will be extremely rare.
So, in short, being creative is very important. Without it, the world would never move on.
