this is a tutorial for the mods buildcraft, and industrial craft. its realy easy, but some people have trouble so i made this. there is no video atm, but im gona put the picture in my profile area thingy if you want to see them. it wont let me upload them, it being a dick XD

******************************PIPES: THE BASICS************************************************
ok, the pipes are simple, you have 2 sets of pipes, transport and waterproof.
transport piped come in 7 types,
WOODEN PIPES: extracts items from chests, quarry, fernace, crafting tables, etc.
SMOOTH STONE PIPES: transports items. does not link with cobble pipes
COBBLE PIPES: transports items. does not link with stone pipes.
IRON PIPES: you can use to set items from several chests all head into one, instead of randomly bouncing around.
GOLD PIPES: dont link with other gold pipes. when powered (redstone), they speed transported items.
DIAMOND PIPES: they have colors on edges when they link. you can use to set so certain items go into certain chests.
OBSIDEAN PIPES: when you throw items near it, it sucks them up. good for mob grinders, and auto farms.

WATERPROOF: waterproof is used to transport oil, water, lava, fuel, etc. to waterproof it, take a cactus grean (dye) and make into waterproofing. then aplly that to normal pipes. to gather water/oild into the pipes, they must connect to a pump.

*******************************************QUARRY*********************************************************
a quarry is very simple. just choose an area and mark it with land markers (blue torches). then right click the cornor torch with a wrench. it should outline with red. then, place a quarry block next to a corrnor of the area. it should go striped yellow and black. then, attach a engine (steam or combustion) to it. set a pipe (from top of quarry block) into a chest, or to a pipe system to be sorted as you will. then, power the engine, and watch it work. note, i dont recomend leaving it runing, as it will explode if it overheates, if your going to have it mine for you, you need to get tons of water buckets and sit next to it. its still faster and safer than mining yourself if you do it right (unlike me, i blew up my house 5 times XD)

***************************************ENGINES******************************************************************
engines are used to power machines like the quarry XD and (if placed under a wooden pipe that is linked to a chest) to suck items out of chests :P
there re 3 kinds of engines:

REDSTONE: redstone engines are weak, to weak to power a quarry. they dont overheat and explode :D

STEAM: steam engines are faster, and can run many more machines that redstone. to power the steam engine, you need a fuel sorce, like coal, lava, etc... if it over heats, it will explode, so only keep it on for a few minits at a time.

COMBUSTION: combustion engines are super efficient, and run off fuel. you need to keep it full of water or it will explode.
