I am a bondservant of my King.
For Him I write upon vellum;
Vellum torn along the edges for my sins were great,
Vellum singed along the underside and not the top,
For I was saved from the bonfires of hell.

For reason of His love,
I no longer fear those drifting (sparks).

I am a bondservant of my King.
I lie in a wire-wrapped world,
Unchained.
For He of spirit has freed me from others who wish my eternal demise.

I am scarred and scared,
For lashes I knew.
My friend the greatest was leather-bound,
For friend kept the pain of a whip away and caused less blood to flow.

For a temporary time,
It was a life for a life:
An unblemished beast's skin for my own.

For a tempory time,
Blood was my drink,
Flesh was my meal,
Profanity was my wine upon which I was drunk.

The souls of many were sacrificed.
Beat down by myself for lack of a ladder,
As if perfection could be reached
By climbing a hill of dead bodies.

I am nothing.
For my dirtied vessel named Heart had been emptied to His forge,
And was shown as not enough.

I am nothing.
For in the eyes of the many I was nothing,
And in the eyes of the few I was nothing,
And in His eyes I was something great and without warning:
For in his eyes I of Adam's seed was hopeless and that hopelessness allowed His hope to inject,
Intravenous.

For I am a bondservant of my King,
Without He I am nothing.
