Ok so from playing minecraft, this is what I found out from hanging out in the biome:
-Skeletons are common here
-Masses of soul sand and soul soil are everywhere
-Giant skeletons protrude out of the ground
-Soul fire is also everywhere
-Good place if you want soul torches
-Ghasts spawn (as they do in every nether biome)
